• Wed 24 July - Liskeard Athletic Thirds (Away, Lux Park), ko 7.30pm - W 4-2
• Sat 27 July - Plympton Athletic Reserves (Away, Lee Moor), ko 2.30pm - W 4-1
• Wed 31 July - Millbridge Reserves (Away, Salt Mill), ko 7.30pm - W 5-1
• Sat 03 August - Launceston Reserves (Away, Penygillam), ko 3pm - CANCELLED
• Sat 10 August - Liskeard Athletic Reserves (Away, Lux Park), ko 2.30pm - CANCELLED
• Sat 10 August - Buckfastleigh Rangers (Away, Duckspond), ko 3.00pm - L 1-2

We are looking forward to the challenge of playing in the ECPL this year. We're pleased to have retained the vast majority of last season's Duchy Premier side and have strengthened in certain areas with some good early new signings. Pre-season Training starts for us, on Tuesday 2 July.

Amendment to pre-season fixtures and an earlier date for commencement of training.

We are looking to include one more friendly and would be looking for a midweek fixture among the fixtures schedule above.

Pre-season training started well with good numbers in attendance, even allowing for the usual holiday and work commitments. Good to see a couple of new additions fit in well with the current squad, with other potential new faces keen to come back for more!

Wednesday 24 July 2019 - Pre-season Friendly:

Liskeard Athletic Thirds 2, Torpoint Athletic Thirds 4 (Bahroz Zad, Adam Parry 2, Josh Payn)

A good start to our pre-season campaign after the disappointment of the previous Saturday's cancellation. Torpoint dominated things in the opening 45 minutes, but with numerous second half changes, Liskeard probably had the upper hand. Two decent footballing sides.

Saturday 27 July 2019 - Pre-season Friendly:

Plympton Athletic 1, Torpoint Athletic Thirds 4 (Sam Rosevear, Bahroz Zad, Byron Robbins, Jay Hussey)

An excellent team performance against a very physical side who will be playing in the South Devon League this season. Played some good stuff throughout while standing up to the physical challenge. Could have been a lot more if chances were taken. As with the Liskeard game, really pleased with the young lads involved today.

Wednesday 31 July 2019 - Pre-season Friendly:

Millbridge 1, Torpoint Athletic Thirds 5 (Adam Parry, Callum Thomas, A.Trialist, Tom Booth, Byron Robbins)

Another good workout for the boys on a lively surface at Salt Mill. Played some good stuff in spells, mainly either side of half time, while Millbridge played their part and caused us some problems. If chances were taken, we would have been in double figures, and Millbridge had a couple of chances too.

Due to unavailability for holidays, injury and work commitments, we have sadly had to cancel our friendly at Launceston on Saturday. Our remaining players will be helping in the First and Second team fixtures.

We have apologised to our hosts and hope they will be able to find alternative opposition.

We look forward to next week's second visit to Lux Park to face Liskeard Reserves.

Sadly, due to the weather forecast over the weekend, our fixture with Liskeard Athletic Reserves has been cancelled.

However, we are grateful to Buckfastleigh Rangers who have offered to host us at Duckspond with a 3pm kick off. Despite some unavailability, we take a strong squad and are looking forward to the game in preparation for next Saturday's opener at St Dominick.

Saturday 10 August - Pre Season Friendly

Buckfastleigh Rangers 2, Torpoint Athletic Thirds 1 (James Bloomfield)

Our worst performance of pre-season by some distance, but in many ways it was needed. After a poor start where we gave the ball away far too often, we struggled to get back into any sort of rhythm. Disappointing that the half time team-talk was about effort and commitment, but sometimes people need reminding! That said, Buckfastleigh played very well on the day and were a handful in both boxes. The positives? We played poorly against a useful side, with a number of players missing - and only lost 2-1 to a last minute winner.
