Tonight 4/5/19Penwith Exiles have informed the League they HAVE FOLDED so will not be taking up their place in next season's competition.

We currently have 13 confirmed sides for our 16 side league

Pendeen Rovers
Carharrack
RNAS Culdrose
Porthleven Reserves
Lizard Argyle
Penryn Athletic Reserves
Helston Athletic Thirds
St Day Reserves
St Agnes Reserves
Wendron United Thirds
Perranporth Reserves
Hayle Reserves
Ruan Minor

Gerans and St Mawes, and Lanner have applied to fill two of the three vacancies but are not guaranteed places yet as that has to be sorted at the AGM.

So the League are still inviting sides to join next season but they must apply now as well as informing their current league they are applying.

St Ives Reserves and Rosudgeon have applied to join the LWC Drinks Cornwall Combination League. They, along with Lanner, and Gerrans and St Mawes will put their cases for acceptance at the AGM for the rest of the League to vote on.

With all of these teams maybe going to the ALL NEW Combo league, how many leagues will the Trelawney be running this seaon?

I still don't get the point in joining the Combo from Trelawny league? local Cornish rules aside, its the same level? more fees for cups and officials?

To have a chance of promotion to St Piran League in the future?

To play in the Senior Cup, rather than the Junior Cup?

There are two CATEGORIES of football below the Football League: The National League System and Recreational Leagues. Both are structured at a range of levels - the former by the FA and the latter by County Associations. The structure in Cornwall allows a sensible, progressive route for Clubs, from the bottom to the top.

The structure is sensible and has worked well across the country. The restructure imposed by the FA has definitely caused a few unusual happenings but this year is a not-to-be-repeated, one-off event: normal service will be resumed.
