Tom Trust
Perranporth 8, Mullion 1 Mullionweren't THAT bad. I thought they defended well in the 1st half even though there was only really going to be one possible winner. They just didn't play to their strengths - lots of very tall lads in their line-up who weren't that effectively-used. Still, nice to be amongst a friendly and amusing bunch of supporters: nice to catch up with Glen Mather; interesting to see some of the Penryn team turning up to watch proceedings. Tea the customary quid! But £2 entry for an OAP? That's 100% inflation during the season. This isn't Venezuela! Lovely day: pitch bone hard but well-maintained. Perranporth should have been one up after just 20 seconds but the lad who broke through tried to break the net rather than just place it past the 'keeper and clipped the bar for a goal kick! Doh! The 1st 10m was all Perranporth with a couple of missed oportunities. Mullion's 1st attempt on goal (a good one, just wide) wasn't until the 19th minute, at 0 - 0. Goals at 22, 35 (splendid direct FK from some 20+ yards), 56 (so only 2 - 0 at HT), 67, 74, 79, 87 (Mullion's), 88 and 90. PS - I see Carharrack have been docked another 9 points. Ouch! Scoffy
Will Caharrack be able to field a side v St Day? If not it scuppers any chance no matter how small of the saints winning the league!
winston
Rumours were heard several weeks ago that a certain person would not be getting a side together for the st day game should they have a chance of winning the league and be needing lots of goals. They are still alive and kicking that's good news for the club no matter how hard it's been. Scoffy
