Titus Bramble Posted May 8, 2019 Report Posted May 8, 2019 Think the CCFA are expecting fireworks tonight at Newmoor! Never known a level 3 ref and 2 appointed assistants to be put on a Div 4 game!

To be fair, it's probably the right move considering the last ref for this fixture, on their first game of the season, was well out of his depth to do a local derby and probably cost Newmoor getting something from the game? Big game for Nanpean as they could win the league tonight.

Paul Collings Posted May 8, 2019 Report Posted May 8, 2019 Div Three - Liskeard Athletic 3rds 1 - 1 Mevagissey Reserves The blues needed all three points to secure the runners up spot and i'm not really sure how they didn't manage to get them. A slight mishandle by the home 'keeper and commendable honesty from the home lino gave Meva an early lead which they held onto until the break. Within ten minutes of the restart Liskeard had drawn level and from there on in it was virtually one way traffic. In all fairness Mevagissey defended well under the pressure but Liskeard missed far too many chances. The result means that Pensilva finished in second place on goal difference.
Paul Collings Posted May 8, 2019 Report Posted May 8, 2019 Congratulations to Nanpean Rovers on winning Duchy Div Four in their first season back in action. A 6-3 win at Newmoor tonight took them to 60 points just one more than runners-up Bude who also have had a great first season back in the league.
Billy Davies Posted May 9, 2019 Report Posted May 9, 2019 Losty 7 St Newlyn East 2 A closer game than the score suggests as we pulled away late on to stave of relegation. Scorers for us were Sir James Hutch, Liam Rooney 3, Jon Harris, Nathan Gough (Making it 4 for the season) and Josh Cook. Hope to see you all again next season and enjoy the break. Cheers Bill. Cheers Bill. at 2-2 with 30 mins left we never saw the final score line coming but sloppy defending again cost us and also with Losty still fighting to avoid relegation and us knowing we were safe you wanted it more and worked harder in all areas. Unfortunately we cant buy a win atm and are on the worse run of or results, injuries and bad luck I've known as a manager. Just found out that my player who came off injured towards the end broke his fibula to add to our injury list. That's 2 breaks and a dislocated knee alone in our last 2 league games! It was good before the game to chat with Callum in see him in good spirits and on the mend from his serious injury at ours a few weeks ago. Enjoy the summer. Can't wait for Saturday to be done with TBH right now. Jiggy Billy Davies, Die Hard and Luke Gibbons 3
