With a game to spare, Chelsea have qualified for the Champions' League. It has been embarrassing playing in the European Midweek Also-Rans Cup and I really can't be bothered watching that nonsense in Baku. Just a pre-season friendly against the Arse in some godforsaken dictatorship where they can't even level off their manhole covers. If we must win, I suppose we will have to accept the tinpot trophy. It's like the Combo Sup Cup. Unlike us, of course, the Arse has never won anything in Europe, so I expect they will take it more seriously. While we were winning a trophy a year for a decade, they had dear Arsene lecturing them on post-structuralism. It is nice to see the restoration of justice, with a clear reminder that only one London club is or ever was capable of European success.

What's that ? The third club, with the new pitch ? Oh, of course, they played  last week. I've always said that West Ham were London's third team. When Kane realises that he is a one-man team and will win even less than Shearer ever did, he will be off. Then Spurs will be meeting Forest Green Rovers on our way up.

At least when Chelsea lost at Bournemouth, they did it with charisma and panache, comrades !

All this, and, once I became North Stand Fans' Representative, Forest Green qualified for the playoffs. Er, unlike Argyle. Not bad for a village team, as we say in St Just.

What a splendid season !

Glad to see the London clubs finishing the season in their proper order. The league table does not lie.Poor old Harry will get himself crocked trying to play in a qualifying match in Balucistan or the west of Ireland in June and there's another season ruined. Commiserations in advance on your defeat against Liverpool...poor old Spuds. Always the bridesmaids. Mauricio for Chelsea !

Sorry, Older, that's just how confident I am in Liverpool. I don't want you to be unprepared for disappointment, so soon after Perranporth clung on to the Combo title ! As a sensible fellow- Remainer, I am sensitive about your feelings !

Well, I might need your protection then ! Tom Trust is calling me a Quisling on another thread and I expect to he pursued round Cornwall by mad Faragistes any day. They must be mad, truly. If it weren't for EU subsidies, Redruth would have fallen down its own mineshafts decades ago !

I will bear it in mind. Like Iyr Kird, my fiefdom us not of their world. Well, I did say I wasn't particularly concerned can out the midweek pub cup in Baku. As the inky London team capable of a Champions' League win, it behoves us not to become over-excited by the normal accumulation of trophies, season by season, the norm for one of the world great clubs of Europe. I am sure all the Sours fans on thus site are suitably grateful to the great Olivier Giroud for shutting the Arse out if serious European competition for yet another year. Again, commiserations to you all in advance for Liverpool's forthcoming triumph on Saturday.
