Mike Odgers
In toights Devon St.Lukes Bowl- the equivalent of the Cornwall Senior Cup Clyst Rovers 3 Torquay United 2 Bideford 5 Exeter City 1 Obviously Torquay and Exeter fielded weakened/youth teams. Will Truro City do likewise when in the Southern League and beyond?
Guest Phil H
Although by no means a first team the Torquay United starting 11 was made up of 7 professionals from the Gulls squad - Martin Rice, Chris Robertson, Kevin Hill, Danny Wring, Tony Bedeau, Darren Mullings & Leslie Thompson. Bolton Wanderers loanee Mark Ellis and 3 YTS players. The Gulls had Colin Lee and Paul Buckle watching from the stands. This was without doubt a "result" for Clyst, it was not against a team of kids and was achieved by a 100% effort performance. Mr Massey was in attendance and will be hoping that a Clyst squad that are now 4 wins on the trot used up all their energy last night !
