Launceston Cup Final

Recommended Posts

Are you stalking me Fanfare ?

A much more entertaining match than at Hayle earlier, in my opinion,  - more action & more spirit being shown.

Not too much in it first half but the Bridgers had the edge and were two nil up at the break. Two more goals early in the second half should have put the game to bed but Saints made a great fightback, despite being reduced to 10 men, and at 4-2 anything could have happened. But , as so often does happens in cup ties, as St Cleer pushed forward Bridgerule snatched a couple more goals.

Kevin Sandercock presented St Cleer with the Pam Sandercock Memorial Shield with competition President, Brian Conyon MBE, presenting the players' medals and the cup to Bridgerule as his last official duty before stepping down after many years service. Man of the Match was Bridgers' Jedd Peschke (if i remember correctly, it had been a long day).
