Perranporth sack Ben Mitchell.

Recommended Posts

Strong rumours coming out of Perranporth today that manager Ben Mitchell has been sacked, following him finding out that the club were looking to replace him in the summer. Very poor from Perran to do this when they are so close to the league title. Hot favourite for the job, reserve team manager Luke "Shrek" Kelland has turned down the chance to take over for the remainder of the season, leaving former Perran manager & current Penzance manager Lee Denton taking over for Perrans final 5 games. This must be the 1st time a man has managed 2 clubs in senior football at the same time.

IMO this is very poor form I know Ben he had a stint with us and is a great footballing lad! I’m always baffled to hear clubs operating in this way, do they not get that it disrupts every aspect of the team? Also clubs need to realise that the mass majority of us do it for free and when your in the mist of management it consumes your life, meaning you have to sacrifice more than what people realise! Shame on you perranporth
