We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to Vogue Park on Sunday. Our kitchen and Bar will be open (in the clubhouse) and our BBQ will be ready from 9am. Parking at the club will be for the teams and officials ONLY.

Supporters parking will be behind Vogue Pub (200 yards) and all signposted. If you wish to turn up really early our Smaller Saints (U6s, U7s & U8s) are playing friendly matches on our 2nd pitch. As well as this the Cornwall FA Sunday Cup final takes place at 11am; Falmouth Athletico v Tregony. Plus live sport on our massive 75" & 55" Tv's in the clubhouse between the two finals.

Good luck to everyone.

Threemilestone Dragons 1-0 Tregony

Wind a very strong side wind not much football played by either side. Tms took the cup after some superb play from skipper Tom Goodman down the right allowed Chris Shackley to score with half an hour gone. Tms defended well in the 2nd half & were helped when Tregonys top scorer Jason Busby was sent off with 20 left for swearing at his own teammate. Att 100

Tms double winners!

Is this Tregony team the one that is playing in the Sunday League cup finish a few hours before?

Two different sides.

This Tregony side are the team that played in the Duchy League last season.

The final itself was a good advert for the Trelawny League in most respects. Attitudes for the most part were spot on - not one dangerous challenge - a couple of cynical ones but you get those in any game.

Tregony felt hard done by on the 70th minute mark having lost Jason Busby for OFFINABUS - he swore at a team mate. It wasn't as bad as some of the stuff that was being shouted out during this game however, it was loud enough and said straight in front of the Match Referee who felt that the appropriate action was to send the player off. It is an offence to commit an infringement against a team mate so the referee wasn't wrong in law.

Both teams had good spells of football which were made difficult by howling winds and a wind chill of around 2-3°C.

The goal itself came from Chris Shackley after a brilliant run and cross by Tom Goodman on the right side.

The awarding of trophies was then carried out by League Chairman Gerald Munden and myself - quite fitting as I was in the last team to win it back in 16/17.

The competition itself is one of the oldest in Cornish Footballing history, dating back to the early 1900's. The trophy itself has been varied slightly over those years as you can imagine - the latest Jubilee Cup has pretty much died now and is almost beyond repair after nearly 30 years in circulation. The replacement one today was called the Arnew Cup (I have no idea where it's from but the last recipient was in the 1950's). A wonderful bit of history. It's probably full of beer or worse now 👀🤣

A huge thank you must go to St Day for hosting this final in their fantastic facilities. They are a fine example of a club on the rise.

Also thank you to our match officials on the day, Referee Rodney Campbell and Assistants, Steve Tootle and Lee Atkinson.

Don't want that to happen but if it was a straight red for one swear word to a team mate then that is ridiculous

It would be unprofessional for me to post what was said (it was said loud enough for me (and those around) to hear in the stand) - it wasn't just one swear word. In law, what was said does constitute a sending off offence (offensive, insulting and/or abusive behaviour). Whether or not many other referees would have sent off the player in that situation is down for everyone else to interpret.

Obviously from a league standpoint, I thank the officials for their time and congratulate them on their appointments to a cup final. It's always nice to get one at the end of a busy season.

I was really impressed to talk to Mark at St Day aswell to learn of their upcoming development to the facilities. Absolutely brilliant to see another club benefitting from vital funding from the Football Foundation

I didn’t hear it on the pitch and from what I was told it wasn’t an ongoing tirade aimed at another player.

If the comment was aimed at the ref, I would have expected that to be a sin bin offence.

As the manager and a player I’ve witnessed spats of frustration between players  every game.Yesterday I heard numerous people swear. It may not be right but to act on that in a final on only one of the incidents is hard to take.

The player in question who’s had a terrific season our top scorer with 30 odd goals was gutted to be picked out and sent off ,doing the same as many others within the game is harsh.

I know a lot of the Threemilestone lads and congratulations to them on a fantastic season.
