At the time of posting this, the donation fund to keep this forum going was standing at £517 of the £780 goal required, with 9 days left to reach the target. However, only 53 people had chipped in!

There were 1,843 views of the Combo League Results thread last week. Come on guys, please just a £1 from each of you will be more than sufficient! Beware though as the minimum is £5 and so perhaps you can get together with others.

Carharrack have a side for today? big game with the 2 bottom sides and a chance to get a win I would have thought?

TMS Reserves don't have a league game today but I can't see players from Trelawney 4 doing much even against Port Reserves! That's if all the talk about TMS players playing for Carharrack after their Trelawney fixtures are over is true.

will look forward to reading your report later on tom. port are struggling to so id expect with a few players in to be a better game and not the 8.0 results of late.

Carharrack 3, Porthleven Reserves 7

At least Carharrack got 3! Goals were 1 - 0 (!) (7), 1 - 1 (10), 1 - 2 (16), 1 - 3 (21), 1 - 4 (38), 2 - 4 (40), then, look out, 3 - 4 (50) and game on: next goal crucial. 3 - 5 (pen 74) (shot saved, rebounds to penalty taker, from 5 yds shoots against keeper's body, 2nd rebound goes to Port player who scores!), 3 - 6 (78), 3 - 7 (82).

Sad to see two formerly solid clubs struggling so - Port with a bare 11 (Carharrack with 12) and a last-minute lino.

Nice old reminisce with Stevie Webber who I haven't seen for years. That's part of what having played football (or any other team sport) is all about and so many youngsters today won't have that in later life.

Tea 50p as you all know by now: chip butty or sausage butty £1! Bliss, but for the result. And the game, really: 2 struggling sides with non-Combo players in the main, keeping their respective teams going until hopefully better days come round again.

Perranwell 1 Wendron 4 - a poorly performing Perranwell side were deservedly put to the sword by a free flowing Wendron who were solid in defence and swift in attack. 0-1 to Wendron at half time, the Well were awarded a fortunate penalty in the 55th minute, which the ref brought back having initially played advantage, and for which Wendron must feel hard done by. The pen was duly dispatched by Lachlan Brace, only for the Well to subsequently fall apart in a ten minute spell that saw them concede three more goals, with Wendron striker, Jack Noy making two good finishes and further enhancing his reputation as one of the Combo's up and coming marksmen. Bad day at the office all round for Perranwell as we struggled for shape and effective penetration going forwards, with our defence lacking its usual discipline. The match was well reffed by Justin Moses who tried to play advantage for both sides at every opportunity. Good luck to Wendron for the rest of the season, no complaints today, we were well beaten by the better side.

Josh magin hat trick for st Ives .....

Good three points for st Ives today, redruth battled for 90 minutes but st Ives missed some chances to make it safe, apologies to redruth re the showers not working but we lost our mains water supply so call going out to south west water to hopefully sort it out....

Lovely catch up with Hayle today Gregg as always tireless work on the pitch Steve one of the fairest linesman out there, well reffed by knowlesy, the game they had chances we had chances no one scored 😀

Good to see you as well thought your young assistant  Becky done well on the line today , great to see young people  getting involved  ,  chances for both sides  , but both keepers kept clean sheets   ,  draw probably  a fair result , Kevin Knowles  in the middle  today  did well to keep cards in his pocket . Tight game good crowd  , entertaining  draw

And that bare 11 included the manager again for another 90 minutes under his belt after two players didn't show, and me in goal again (not nearly a goalkeeper..!). Very enjoyable afternoon of football between two sides that finally had a chance to go out and enjoy playing football with a chance a picking up some points! We've had these issues all year at Port as most will know but we still crack on to the end with what we have, and hopefully Carharrack will too!
