Good idea Fanfare though the drawback is that it is a Saturday league.

The League Cup final is on a Sunday.

In the 80s teams played on Sundays to fit games in. If a willing opponent could be found, it could draw a good crowd?

£200 that is ridiculous

£200 is the MAXIMUM fine for failing to fulfil a fixture and is there as a deterrent. The actual fine could be anywhere from £0 to £200; the circumstances of each offence are debated and the amount of the fine, some of which can be suspended, is then agreed. However, the League cannot take into consideration whether or not a Club can afford to pay the fine - but all Clubs are aware of the potential penalty they face for not fulfilling a fixture.

The League is obliged to apply the rules, which the Clubs have agreed, in a way which is as consistent as possible and is fare to all member Clubs.

For example

Saturday 31-10-87 (Saturday) St Just 4-0 St Agnes. The next day 1-11-87 (Sunday) Pendeen Rovers 6-1 St Agnes.

Also the same season

Saturday 6-2-88 Perranwell 2-1 St Agnes. Sunday 7-2-88 Mousehole 11-0 St Agnes.

Three months and a day between the second one! But yeah the same sentiment.
