Paul Collings
Div One - half time - Saltash Utd 3 - 0 North Hill Saltash looked lively and confident and were worthy of the half time lead. North Hill did some attacking but just seemed to be not quite good enough in all departments. A down pour just before half time finished me off and left the pitch in a state so anything could happen after the break. Billy Davies
Losty 0 North Petherwin 1 As usual against The Badgers a cracking game played in awful conditions high on endeavour and with plenty of skill on show. NP just about desrved the win hitting the woodwork on 4 occassions and threatening our goal often. We created some chances as well but Elliot blocked everything that hit the target. Joe Reeves( I think number 7) set up NP's goal with a great run and pass for Ryan to score despite a great effort from Chris Chandler on the line to stop the shot. Joe was the best player on the pitch and as time slipped away chances came and went for both sides and we could not snatch a point. Great to see Bash and the boys back at the pub in good spirits. We have had some great battles with them over the years and whatever the result they are always top class after the game. A mention to ref Paul Buscombe who reffed with the minimum of fuss and allowed the game to flow. Good luck to Bash and the boys for the rest of the season and see you next season. Hopefully our pitch recovers in time for Newlyn East next week when we try again to end our awful run.

And as usual David De Gea dad (billy the legend) was in incredible form again two outstanding saves one in each half that de gea himself would have been delighted with!! Always a Great battle in great spirits Petherwin deserved the win claiming the majority of possession and chances hitting the woodwork 4 times and billy in his usual great form! Great chatting back at the pub and catching up! And as we agreed this is defiantly the toughest duchy premier league in the last 5/6 years easily with some incredibly players we mentioned an all star premier team with Danny (Lostwithiel) and joe (Petherwin) making it in with ease but no doubt you’d be there too billy top draw again! Wish you boys all the best for the rest of the year! Billy Davies
Richard Rundle
St Columb 2-3 St Minver reserves So close to a second point of the season for St Columb, but credit to St Minver for trying to play football on a sticky pitch. A rip-roaring first half ended 2-2, the hosts taking an early lead, Minver scoring twice in quick succession after half an hour but then gifting St Columb an equaliser through an own goal. Less action in the second half, the one true moment of class deciding the game when a corner was met with a bullet header for the visitors to take all three points. Luke Gibbons
Torpoint Athletic 2-2 St Mawgan Torpoint XI: M.Westall, C.Westall, T.Copp, D.Rogers, C.Bays, M.Roberts, B.West, T.Rowe, J.White, Z.Rosen, W.Ferguson Subs used: L.Gibbons, A.Brayson, B.Robbins, J.Hill Scorer: Z.Rosen x2 The leagues 3rd and 4th sides matched up for their second game of the season in some horrific conditions at The Mill. With the rain lashing down both sides knew they had to utilise what they could of the pitch early. Both teams started brightly with the visitors unable to break the offside trap. Torpoint keen to use their pace where they could found the opener with some typical hard work from Ferguson to find Rosen 12 yards from goal to power home his first of the afternoon. St Mawgan continued to play their football and could've felt aggrieved when they had the ball in the back of the net for it only to be chalked off for an offside. Against the run of played Torpoint, and Rosen, found their 2nd. The high press allowed Rosen to win the ball back 25 yards from goal, only to dribble into the area and slot home. Mawgan, not dispirited, continued to play their football in a very narrow 433. They soon had one back when a through ball wasn't cleared by the defence and keeper Westall was unable to keep the shot out. It was soon Desmond at the Mill before the break when another straight ball found it's way through to the visitors striker. Again no mistake was made in rolling the ball home. Entering half time both teams would've been happy with where the game stood. With the oncoming rain, referee A.Johns informed both managers that he'd be assessing the weather to ensure the players safety was met at all times. After the break the pitch continued to cut up. Both teams crafted opportunities with Westall being forced into 2 good saves. Both Ferguson and Robbins saw efforts saved by the keeper with Gibbons, White and West all putting efforts just wide. St Mawgan soon found themself down to 10 men. An off the ball incident saw their No.11 wave an arm in the direction of Gibbons' head when already on a booking. The referee showe'd no hesitation in brandishing a straight red when may be a second booking would've sufficed. Even when down to 10, Mawgan still had an opportunity to win the game when their impressive No.15 found himself 1 on 1 with Westall. In the 88th minute, the visitors were soon down to 9 men. With the ball breaking in the middle of the pitch, both Gibbons and the visitors midfielder went to win the challenge. With both feet clearly off the ground with no intention of winning the ball, the referee had no choice than to show another straight red. A sad end to an otherwise entertaining fixture. I fully believe that Foxhole are the title favourites with their player pull and apparent budget but St Mawgan will be right up there fighting. A strong side that are organised both on a off the pitch. I must admit, with the late foul I was extremely disappointed and angry leaving the field but nothing that a handshake in the Clubhouse can't sort out after. Tough old job in the middle for Al today, tried to keep the flow as much as possible with a few fouls credited to the surface. Onto Godolphin next week now, hopefully the hero groundsmencan work their magic! falselights, The Windmill On The Shirt and tomleft

Luke Gibbons
We'll go with 'alleged' then. Lots of rumours flying around, whether it's cash or beer tokens. Either way, a very strong squad and following down there. cornish leg end
