Paul Collings Posted January 19, 2019 Report Share Posted January 19, 2019 Duchy Three - Polperro Reserves 2 - 1 St Stephen Reserves Polperro maintained their unbeaten record but made hard work of it. Half a dozen good chances went begging for the home side in the first half with several more after the break and it was St Stephen that took the lead with 20 minutes remaining. Apparently spurred on by this Polperro raised their game and eventually found the net twice in the closing minutes. Billy Davies Posted January 19, 2019 Report Share Posted January 19, 2019 Lostwithiel 1 Boscastle 3. Boscastle were up for it from the start and dominated us for 30 minutes going 1 up and hardly giving us a kick. Boscastle then went 2 up direct froma throw with ref Ross Hawken claiming I touched the ball. I tried but missed it by 2 feet but despite our complaints and much laughter from Boscastle the goal stood. Second half we huffed and puffed but never looked like scoring until the ref gave us a very soft penalty which John Harris scored on 75 minutes. Boscastle scored another from the spot to wrap things up at the death. Boscastle were really well organised and played some good stuff and one of the best sedes we have played. It was good to see them stay behind after the game and they gave their MoM to the playe who took the throw in for the 2nd goal, great touch. Boscastle will suprise a lot of teams this season and could push for a top 3 finish. We need to pick ourselves up and try and gain some confidence before next weeks clash with Petherwin.
