Have Tavistock made their application to promote to the Western League ? to join fellow SWPL clubs Buckland Athletic and Plymouth Parkway.

The Devon feel to The Western League is looking more attractive with Willand Rovers already there, Exmouth Town keen to join and the possibility of Barnstaple Town being relegated from Southern League South

I think with an average home crowd of about 40 and it’s probably not really worth it With all the extra expense

Tavistock have said that they will apply, and so they should with the facilities that they have. With Barnstaple possibly going down and Exmouth/Tavi looking for promotion, we could quite possibly see 5 Devon clubs in the league next year. This hopefully would make promotion more attractive to clubs in the new swpl prem east, especially to clubs in the east of Devon. One question - if Exmouth and Tavi both apply to go up and both finish in the top 2, is there a possibility that both can go up? After all the Western div 1 regularly promotes 2 clubs and is at same level. Playoff between Western 1 and swpl runners up perhaps??
