I encourage it with the madron boys. Win, lose or draw, mainly lose, we always go back and have at least one drink and sample the Scran on offer. Fair play you boys even had a drink before the game! DRichards
Redruth 2-3 Gwinear Another win ground out by my boys against a decent, battling Redruth side. Won the game in tough conditions and not getting out of second gear. Went 1-0 up through great work from Billy Foster to assist Sam Charlton to finish very well. We then conceded to a quality free kick from Redruth, but we shouldn’t have been so sloppy in the first place to give away the foul which was frustrating. We took the lead just before half time through another assist from Foster to Bijan Akbari who scored a quality lob from about 20 yards. Went in at HT 1-2. Second half started well with Foster getting his hat trick off assists to whip the ball in to Marcus Bawden to score a cracking header. Bawden then went from hero to zero by giving away a penalty 30 seconds after scoring. Ashley Dunn got fingers to it but wasn’t enough to keep it out. All in all a good, battling performance and ground out the win. 3 points again, and moves us onto 7 league wins on the bounce. Mullion away next week who hammered top the league Frogpool so will be a cracking contest. MOM Sam Charlton. Cracking game in the middle.
