cornishteddyboy
Will clubs be holding two minutes silence this Saturday to remember all footballers who passed away in all wars especially as on Sunday it will be 100 years since the end of WW1? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/resources/idt-sh/the_last_pass
Bruegel the Elder
I sincerely hope so, I note that the Poppy shop produces combined Poppy/Football Club badges for just this reason. I would be surprised if there isn’t an FA directive that this should happen at a national level, and it would be a shame (disgrace) if it didn’t happen at local level! Bruegel the Elder
So, how many clubs did anything to commemorate the Armistice, be it a 1 or 2 minutes silence, or wearing poppies? I was hoping to ask how many didn’t bother, but I’m not sure there’s enough room on the forum!

Richard Rundle
Immaculately observed silence at Newquay v Camelford (except for one dog!). Don't know if it was one minute or two. Officials wore poppies on their shirts.
