a day of mistakes by both teams taking it to pens. great game, great players and awful weather.

well done to C.S.o.M and good luck in the PSC.

Well done to Lanner for taking a great side to extra time and pens and both teams showing complete respect to each other and myself in the middle.

Percy Stephens cup.

Threemilestone 12, Redruth Utd Res 0.

Top of Division 1 against bottom of of division 2. there was never going to be a cup upset here today. Threemilestone raced into a 6 or 7 half time lead and added another 5 or 6 after the break. cant remember any particular goals being outstanding but there were definitely some good finishes involved in many of the goals. To be fair to Redruth, they never gave up and never lost there disipline either and the ref Paul Barker had an easy game. Ej had a very quiet game in the Stones goal but 5 minutes into the 2nd half Sam Vage overhit a back pass that had the keeper scrambling and he managed to clear it a foot from the goal line. Other than that the only chances Redruth had were a chance on 80 minutes over the bar and on 85 a cross that Ej had to save. The Threemilestone goals were scored by Joel Snape 3, Callum Sidwell 3, Chris Brown 2, Will Dale 2, Dave Welfare 1 and Harry Wilkinson. All credit to Redruth for not giving up and their keeper probably m.o.m for them, who had a very busy game. M.o.m. for the stones i'm going for James Blackburn who had a cracking game in centre midfield and was unlucky not to be on the score sheet.

Att-12.

Gwin 3-2 Mullion
With a weather affected game we came out on top with a very depleted side. Took the lead through Billy Foster through a penalty. Scrappy first half refereed by a new referee who couldn’t have picked a more physical game to start with. A lot of big tackles and handbags. Ended with our skipper Gavin Russell and away team player getting a sin bin.
H-T 1-0
After a bit of a hair dryer from me at half time as I thought we didn’t even get out of first gear and was frustrating after having the wind, we started a lot better. Scoring again through top goal scorer Foster with another penalty. We then conceded after a dubious penalty to them which we were all dumbfounded by. 2-1.
Carried on with a very competitive game with tackles flying in. We scored again through the main man Foster scoring a great header at the back post from a great free kick from Sam Charlton. I think we dominated the game throughout and deserved the win, even with Mullion trying to wind our boys up and getting in our heads any way they could. Mullion then scored a consolation at the end to make it 3-2.
Deserved win for us in shocking conditions. But happy that we ground out the result.
MOM Marcus Bawden again, with a quality, mature performance at the back.
Shoutout to Paul Miners for coming out of retirement and having a cracking first half before coming off injured ?? with Ashleyjade Dunn returning with a great second half.
Happy with the result! Redruth away next week.

It’s doesnt count as a depleted squad when you’re missing senior players who use you for a game when their main team haven’t got one. You say you’re missing players every week ??

Missing our centre half who’s in the forces, our lb who’s been a great signing and regular starter. Another centre half who’s on deployment as well, jack who’s started 70% of our games due to a snapped ACL. But Cameron Irish was there watching due to him being out injured and not able to play for Hayle or us.

You are a clown ???? I had 3 of my back 4 unavailable, who have played every game this season you idiot. So before you go saying ‘senior players’ using us; get your facts right first. You are comical!

There isn’t many teams in the trelawney that don’t have players out each week, part of the parcel. But obviously you know the in’s and outs of Gwin and know the players that have played every game by the sounds of it ??‍♂️??‍♂️??

Junior Cup 2nd Round

Four Lanes 1-3 Holman Sports Club

Rather a feisty affair at Clijah not to sure if the home side wanted to have a game of football or head down to the Regal Cinema and watch that well known Brad Pitt Film  with the bar of soap in the poster that has a rule that you can’t talk about it but hey ho we perservered for 90min and no one died so success all round

Anyway on to the game Browner in a ‘managed to play 2 games in a row’ shocker got the scoreline going and Reece smacked in a lovely 25 yard free kick to take us up to 2-0.........we obviously at this point as normal hit the proverbial self destruct button and conceded a sloppy goal right before half time

2nd half started off end to end with the home side playing some nice football at times until one of the home players wanted to demonstrate to browner how to hook a rugby ball in a scrum substituting the odd shaped ball for browner which looked a great skill but also sadly quite painful and one red card later Four Lanes were down to 10. Don’t know the refs name a rather young chap but he coped admirably with all the shenanigans going on and did well.

Last 20 was pretty frantic Nathan had a Ronnie Rosential moment on the far post from a decent cross from Keeno and our back line were under a bit of pressure but held firm then with 5 min to go Harvey released the pressure and skipped through with a mazy run from the halfway line to secure a place in the 3rd round with a 1-3 win so go into the hat/bucket whatever is the CCFA container of choice for Monday

Like you just said every team in Trelawny has players out every week so don’t use it as an excuse for not being very good every week.

I haven’t used it as an excuse, and to say we haven’t been very good is a little stupid too, we’ve lost 1 in 9 or something like that ? concentrate on your own side maybe ?

Unfortunately, Camborne School of Mines were a victim of the Notice of Approach procedure last week which means that they have been eliminated from the Percy Stephens Cup - their opponents who they beat on penalties on Saturday, (Lanner) have been reinstated and will play Mullion Reserves in the Quarter Final at a later date.

They are now the fourth team (so far) this season who have been caught out by the notice of approach procedure. A player can't sign for a team that play in another league unless a Notice of Approach has been issued to the players current club(s). This is the problem with registering players on the day - especially if they fail to mention the fact they are registered players with another club! This is why I stress to clubs to use Whole Game to register their players before game day.

With Whole Game now being used for registrations across the country, there's no getting away from it nowadays.

On another note, I hope that Dan Northall's operation went okay.

You boys still running scared? When’s this game happening? 20 in 9 can’t wait to put 3 or 4 past you fools #iknowwherethenetis ?

Hahaha... Glad you're scoring goals mate, 20 in 9 in DIV 4 is really impressive, My Gran said she could score 30 in 9 in that league though!

You will have to ask the League  though boss about when the game is being played, Surprised it hasn't been re-arranged yet.... Obviously I am not the fixture secretary ;)

We've not been running scared though, just looking forward to get the game on as I said before we were the club who did all we could to get the game played originally, All the best for scoring more goals this week though.

The game has been refixtured and has been on website for at least 2weeks , perhaps if you stopped bickering and actually looked your question would be answered !!! ?
