Cullompton v Falmouth

Recommended Posts

Falmouth make their longest League journey tomorrow to face 9th.position Cullompton in what looks like  to be a tough encounter.

Falmouth unbeaten in 8 games(7W.1D) have not won at Speeds Meadow since Oct.2016 when a certain Cody Cooke (ex Truro now at St.Mirren) was on the scoresheet in a 2-1 win.Last season it finished 2-5 and previous to that 1-3, 0-0, 2-5, 0-4.

Be interesting to see Falmouths  league position when they've caught up with their away fixtures.

They will have the choice next season of hardly venturing out of Cornwall at all, unless they apply for Step 5 football

Thank heavens for that !

It'll be interesting when Tavistock catch up on games! 10 behind Argyle and rarely a midweek game so far this term.

Last season it was pretty much a dead rubber with Falmouth a few days before their first cup final in 14 years.

The season before I believe Tom Annear played in goal but it has been a bit of a bogey ground aside from two big wins.

Another lack lustre display by Falmouth today !

Falmouth drop points again against a side who will finish outside the top 8 - Westy and Co need to look at this because it’s poor considering the quality in ther squad

Yes the results are becoming inconsistent  1-2 (H) Loss v Launceston after beating St.Austell 4-2

2-2 (A) v Newquay after a 6-0 Vase win at Western League Bridport

0-1(A) v Cullompton after 1-0 win at Bodmin  Mind you Cully are on the up with a very good defensive record of conceding only 17 goals.

The other defeats were -(1-4) at St.Austell on the openg day and (3-4) at Saltash

All clubs everywhere have their lean period (Falmouth 3  goals from the last 3 league games) but today brought an end of failing to score for the first time in 41 league/cup consecutive games.

Perhaps the Bodmin game took its toll as I heard Falmouth were without four of its regulars today.
