Is that the Holyport near Maidenhead-Windsor ?--If so some trek for the The Ivy's in midweek.

Are you thinking of visiting a new ground Dave?

Yes Maidenhead Mike. Indeed a long trek midweek. Surprised the clubs agreed to it really! Anyway, no I won’t be going. Now, if it was a Cornish club, that might have been different! ?

There's a surprise, a team in the same league as you follow Dave yet because they're from Devon you have no interest, and people claim there's no quarms with the border? I hope Ivybridge smash them and show the Cornish clubs how it's done. Whilst they're at it, I hope the cut the bridge off too and let that silly County float away.....

? Whatever made you suggest I wouldn’t be following how Ivybridge get on and that I’ve got no interest? Quite the opposite I’ll be sending their result out as soon as Liz texts me it. I’ve even tipped them to win tonight in the predictions league!

I’m never quite sure why some Devon folk feel so much resent against the Cornish clubs. For years we’ve been using some of your best footballing talent so thanks for that.

Good spot Fanfare. You only just realised that?

? It was in response to the post from Elephant. A midweek jaunt to Maidenhead to support a Cornish team is different than for a Devon team.

You are an administrator on the Cornwall Football Forum, not the SWPL forum or any other platform so it's natural to assume that a long trip to follow a Devon team was going to be unlikely.

Now Phil Hiscox on the other hand....

Just a bit of light hearted humour Fanfare as far too many people only post ridiculously aggressive favoured posts on here these days which is beginning to get a bit tiring now.

Lighten up everyone please.

I’ve got nothing against Devon based clubs,. As a boy I used to go and watch Argyle nearly every Saturday game until I started playing. My local club Liskeard used to be almost all Devon based players, but it never turned me off watching them.

I’ve even featured Devon players in my CORNISH SOCCER magazine! The thing is Elephant, it’s not just SWPL football I follow, but more so all Cornish based clubs and as to why, well there’s a clue in the title of my magazine.

The fact is that personally a midweek trip to Maidenhead is ridiculous - whether it be for a Cornish club or Ivybridge who are a little further up the road.

When we stopped at Exeter services (on route to Bridport) a coach load of footballers walked in. They turned out to be Holyport fc on route to Ivybridge ! I also saw two Truro City players at the services ( who was home )

Stopping at Exeter services  on the way back I think the Newquay coach was there too!?On their way back from Bournmouth !

Watched a brilliant display from Newquay tonight vs Falmouth ,They went 1-0 up from a powerful long range shot from Jose Perez which came off the crossbar and behind Ryan Barnes think he should of saved it seeing the ball was above his head, the 2nd goal was a cross come shot from full back Harry TILLSON Falmouth goalie Ryan who is usually so good just watched the ball sail over his head and nestle in the back of the net The 2ND half changed when Alex COLE got sent off again for a reckless challenge hes a real good player but he does seem to fly in with his tackles some  legal some not so i thought it looked a nasty foul and he deserved to go then Falmouth turned on the pressure bringing on Jack BOWYER and he made a difference Martin Duff brought Falmouth back into the game with a brilliant chip then it looked like a Harry TILLSON slip in trying to clear and put the ball past his own keeper it was backs against the wall then for the Newquay defence with Harry DOWNING marshalling his troops well and they hung on for a well earned point but it could of been 3 if they had there full 11 players on the field it was good to see Cam TURNER back playing for Newquay and his long range passing was superb .Well Done Newquay for holding a very good Falmouth side and good luck to them for the rest of the season great game and entertainment was worth missing Emdale and Eastenders to watch that onto saturday at Godolphin Way to watch the Giant killers of PLymouth parkway By St Austell lookin forward to that match Man of the match for Newquay there defence for Falmouth im going for Martin Duff he was everywhere
