Padstow went 2 up, Tavistock got a quick reply, game on. Padstow got the 3rd, but then sat back. This allowed Tavistock to get a 2nd, it was a bail biting finish. The tavy lads did not give up though, they did create chances to equalise, but could not finish. Padstow first 2 goals were keeper errors, even the Padstow keeper rode his luck. The weather ruined potentially a cracking game. Credit to Padstow the pitch was in fantastic condition considering the weather the previous 48 hrs. Darkknight Posted October 13, 2018 Report Share Posted October 13, 2018 Really great game at Padstow, Tavy slip up in the first half as they didn’t take advantage of the wind , should of shot more. Two errors let Padstow take the advantage. But want ever was said to them at half time seems to of worked , as they were a completely different side in the second half, got back into the game , but then gave away a soft free kick which Padstow took advantage of the wind and stretch the lead to 3 , but Tavi came right back and even with nearly nine minutes added time , just couldn’t grab that third elusive goal. Great all round game, well officiated by Ian Spurling,who was called up to ref in the eleventh hour to keep the game flowing in really poor windy conditions.
