Dave Deacon Posted October 2, 2018 Report Share Posted October 2, 2018 Following the recent announcement from The FA that the league structure in the Southwest will be undergoing several changes, Cornwall FA is seeking volunteers to sit on the new league which is due to be created. The new League will sit at Step 7 of The Football Pyramid and will feed directly into the South West Peninsula League Working alongside Cornwall FA it is an exciting opportunity to be involved in how the league will take shape and grow as we move forward, as well as providing an input into how we can support and improve the league structure in Cornwall for benefit of all those involved. We have already had several interested parties come forward who wish to be involved with the new committee and wewould welcome interest from anyone else who is passionate about Cornish Football. Whilst experience in a football administration role is beneficial it is not essential as support will be provided by Cornwall FA and Phil Hiscox of The Peninsula League Roles on the new committee include – Chairman, Secretary, Fixtures Secretary, Registration Secretary, Treasurer, Grounds-Inspection Officer, League Representative on Cornwall FA Council and Press-Officer If you are interested in sitting on the new committee please contact Richard Pallot on 01208 262983 or emailrichard.pallot@cornwallfa.com with any questions you may have Timelines 2nd October – 12th October 5pm – Volunteers to express interest and a committee to be appointed Week Beginning 22nd October – New committee will meet to discuss operations of the league Week Beginning 29th October – Open forum for all clubs, leagues and interested parties All clubs who wish to be part of either the Peninsula League at Step 6 or The New League at Step 7 must submit their expression of interest to The FA by 31st December 2018, our open forum will be an opportunity for people to meet the new committee and ask any questions and clarify any points relating to the re-structure including Cup competitions, facilities, funding opportunities, promotion and relegation and rules and regulations, therefore you will have all the information before submitting your expression of interest.
