If they don’t then they should be reported

Why?

Every referee interprets the rules individually as do the players, coaching teams and spectators. Every time the referee blows for an offence a minority the people will disagree with it. Goes for every time he halts the game. Come the end of the game most will disagrre with one, two or even a few decisions made by the referee.

For what you may call a sin-bin offence, most taking part in the game will disagree with you. Sometimes you will see a player who is sin-binned and you will disagree with the referee.

So to say referees should be reported for not placing a player in the sin-bin for an offence of dissent can never be officially policed because we are all individual with different tolerance levels.

Yes the interpretation is fine but when a referee cautions rather than sin bins for dissent then yes they should be reported. It doesn’t help when this happens.

Mariners 2 perranporth 4.Good cup game and well reffed,Massive inprovement from mariners vs a good perran side who started well and looked to go out of sight,Mariners lost daz ball with a nasty cut to the knee in the 1st minute soon after perran were 3 up which didnt look good until we scored through luke vandersluys.Half time 4-1 to perran,To our credit we kept going and scored a cracker of a goal through ryan stanley and won the 2nd half 1-0.Onwards and upwards now for us.

The last referee to be found not applying this rule was suspended for 28 days.

Good! Hopefully it was the ref we encountered a few weeks ago

Newmoor Rover 1 - St Buryan 3

Well done to St Buryan who played some nice football at times.

We gave them too much respect in the first 15mins and were quickly 2-0 down after an error from our stand in keeper and a rather jammy header from their striker.

Our keeper made amends with a good penalty save and this spurred us on. Scott Thomas scored a cracker to make it 2-1 and we were pushing for the equaliser. The game was killed off after a battle in the box rolled to the feet of a St Buryan player 10 yards out and he finished well.

Decent bunch of lads and good luck in the next round.

Probus 11-2 Penzance Reserves

Not the hammering as the scoreline suggests in my opinion. Penzance scored first and also had a goal disallowed, missed an absolute sitter and also hit the post. In the end fitness definately showed and the golf in leagues. Probus aren't near the top of their league for no reason and are a very good side.

Penzance also lost 4 players during the game through injury and had to bring our manager on for the last 10 mins

Penzance scorers Luke Carroll and Reece Evans

Junior Cup
Gwinear (div2) 4-3 Rosudgeon (div1) AET

Absolute fantastic result today for my boys!!! Started the first half very well with a Billy Foster’s free kick from distance after a slight deflection which nestled into the net. We then doubled our lead with a very well worked goal, starting from a quick throw in from Foster to Derek Pickin who squared the ball the Bijan Akbari who made no mistake slotting it in!! Rosudgeon then replied with a simple finish from close range.
HT 2-1
Second half went the exact opposite to what we wanted. Rosudgeon equalised with an absolute belter of a goal, 1 touch football which we couldn’t get near that was finished well! They then took the lead with a one on one well finished. 3-2 down and gutted! The boys showed character and grit to equalise through the main man Foster neatly finishing again. We missed a hatful of chances which we should have capitalised on but didn’t.
FT 3-3.
Extra time, both sides were up for it and it showed with a lot of hard, fair tackles and an open game which I think we edged. We then won a penalty 5 minutes from the end which Foster calmly slotted with all the pressure and the Rosudgeon boys in his ear. Absolute beauty!!

Never been so proud of the boys. Dug in deep and fought for each other. Brilliant result which I think we deserved in the end.

MOM- Tommy Richards, I hate praising my brother for anything but I couldn’t take anything away from his performance, was quality throughout and won every tackle and header. Deserved MOM. But every single player put in a superb shift and was a pleasure to manage. Over the moon!

Well refereed! And was nice to catch up with old teammate Corey Jewel. Top man.
Cannot wait for the draw, love a cup run!

Well done to SCM for not giving up, didn’t deserve that scoreline after 1st half performance.

Good luck for the season.

great game of football played in the best  junior football spirit...st columbs emerging side never quitted and especially in the 1st half asked big questions of their higher ranked opponents. Quality and teamwork produced the end result but in no way was this the drubbing the scoreline suggests.. fantastic effprt from both teams.. great touchline atmosphere from a big crowd..and great refreshments from the home side....newlyn look to the next round with bated breath...and st columb should be watched closely in duchy 2!!!!

Big thanks to the Pheasant Inn for their after match food...and well done to all involved in what was a great football Match!

I do hope the st Columb lads keep going. Watched them a couple of weeks ago and looked a very good young side. Just need a couple of experienced players to guide them. Hopefully see them again in the near future
