Q Cornwall Leisure Veterans League 2nd Sept

Recommended Posts

Royal Par kicked off their quest for Cup glory by losing their opening league game which doesn't really matter. A game littered by more mistakes than Stevie Wonder taking his driving test the away sides hopes of causing an upset were ruined when Foxhole turned up with a team though to be fair our chances of winning were ruined when we turned up with our team. Despite taking the lead our chances were undone when Foxhole signed 7 of our players just before half time. According to Wikipedia only China and India have a greater population than Foxhole Vets. All being said great way to start the season with a local derby with so many players knowing everyone else on the pitch. Foxhole deserved the win, little bit of quality when it mattered. Wish them all the best for the season ahead.

Unfortunately couldn’t be there today but heard Aggie beat a depleted Newmoor 5-0 with Danny hit man Ohagen scoring a hat-trick with the talented Scott Goodchild and Nick Bell getting the others. Credit to Newmoor who started the game with 10 players and then had the influential Stu Bell injured reducing them to just 9 players but still put up a good show and created some good chances by all accounts. Nevertheless a nice 3 points for Aggie after their promotion last season. Foxhole v Par sounded like the game of the day!! Even though the great Michael Jackson has passed you can still have a nine goal “thriller” ?

Yeah Aggie got off to a flyer,a couple of new signings and a full squad, lets hope we can travel well too!! Felt sorry for Newmoor but they certainly put up a brave fight,no doubt they will win more than they lose!! Feel sorry for any team that comes up against them when they field 11 players, perfect start for Aggie though 3points and 5 goals
