le boss
Back in the day players were encouraged to throw their hat in the ring and try out. Isn't there a danger of the invite system becoming something akin to the old Grammar School scenario? Not what you know but who you know?

Isn't there a danger of the invite system becoming something akin to the old Grammar School scenario? Not what you know but who you know? We’ve had three open trials already this season, spread throughout the county. These were available for everyone to attend and if they they wished, the players could have attended all three that were held on different evenings in Camborne, St Stephen and Callington. In addition to these three open trials, the management team watch pre-season friendlies as well as having good contacts scattered around the county to ensure that as much as possible prospects aren’t missed. And as Glynn Hooper will say, “the door is never closed!” Players can always break through during the season as we don’t always get it right. If you are aware of an under-18 that isn’t listed above, but you feel is certainly worth a look, we’ll be more than willing to have the lead. white
There is a great young keeper coming through at St Dennis - Zac George maybe someone can have a look at. When we found out about the trials we had already missed the Brannel one.
Dave Deacon
Any idea of age and which St Dennis team he plays for?
Darin Morse
Zac "Finidi" George will be 17 in January and is keeping goal for St Dennis second team (Duchy Premier). Played many games for St Stephen in Brannel Youth. Lovely lad and great family too.
