Fanfare
In the the last ten years, was it goals scored or goal difference that separated teams level on points. In researching for acquaintance it would appear it's goals scored but it could be the West Briton being wrong.
Phil
I always thought It was decided on goal difference and if that was also equal then goals scored was the next factor.
countyman
fanfare... do you happen to have older mining league records by any chance? we, St Newlyn East played in that League and we are trying to complete our Club History and these are some missing records that would go a long way to help us! would be ideal if you did I'll cross a couple of fingers! Dave Bartlam
Providing that SCOR hasn’t changed since those days for this particular rule, the following is what happens: In the event of two or more Teams being equal on points at the end of the Playing Season, rankings shall be determined by goal difference (where the goals scored against each Team shall be deducted from the goals scored by that Team and the Team with the most favourable goal difference shall be placed highest). In the event of two or more Teams still being equal, the Team which has scored the most goals during the Playing Season shall be placed highest. In the event of two or more Teams still being equal, the Team that has won the most matches, excluding awarded matches, during the Playing Season shall be placed highest. In the event of two or more Teams still being equal, the Team which has the better playing record against the other Team in their head to head Competition Matches during the Playing Season will be placed highest. If the records of two or more Teams are still equal and it is necessary for any reason to determine the position of each then the Teams affected shall play a deciding match
Fanfare
It was two teams level on points, in 2004/05 I think. @countymanI have some bits and pieces from papers and books. @Dave Deaconprobably has more than me
