Trustee's sold the ground . Have a go at them. Believe one is connected to the Supporters Club.

As for the money.Chairman wasnt the only one pumping it in.

As Mr Deacon has said this is all old news, and we have heard it all, before.

Those trustees should be in the dock, it was their job to protect the ground for our club. I would hope none of them are still associated with the club, I wouldn’t dare show my face at Treyew Road!

One of them is the President of Truro City’s Official Supporters Club ?

Dont think the bloke is still president and from what i heard the former chairman told the then trustees that the club was not sustainable unless they sold the club to him wirh the guarantee of the clubs future. We all know the rest...

Asking a question that wasn't answered previously on another thread. Could Truro theoretically drop down to the SWPL or would they have to start from further down?

A couple of scenarios:

1) A club going bankrupt or folding in the pyramid must not re-join at its current or 1 step lower (the division it would be relegated into) so as a Step 2 club they would not be allowed to re-join higher than Step 4

2) A club can apply to the FA leagues committee to join the pyramid, normally that is at Step 7, BUT where a case can be made and/or a vacancy exist they can be placed higher, at the moment the highest level with a vacancy is SWPL Step 6 due to Witheridge dropping out

The again, with the Step 6 & 7 restructuring for next season, this could be a advantage and good opportunity for Truro to slot into the SWPL Step 6 - they could ask the FA to be placed in the Step 6 league and the FA could well agree to it, albeit a ground or ground-share would have to be in place of course. (That is if Treyew Road doesn’t rise from the dead!)

It will only rise from the dead to die again unfortunately.

Whats all the talk of bankruptcy and dropping leagues. Lets wait till tonight. We might even move back home.

Spot on CornishWall. Let's wait to see what's said. Whatever happens please remember that there are a lot more important things in this world than football, although you wouldn't think so from this forum!!:(

Lidl have announced today that they will be issuing a termination of any connection with developing a new store at Treyew Road and that no development will be taking place in the foreseeable future, good news if you are a City supporter. Sorry Older Malpas Stadium will have to wait. An early Christmas present for the red and blacks :Santa:

Can't play at Malpas Rayvon, Threemilestone Nomads have both pitches down there. Maybe Truro could develop Threemilestone park.?

Trouble tis......it's only delaying the eventual move to where ?????

S4C looks dodgy at this time as well !!!

But, in the short term - good news for TCFC .....might take a game in one night !!

Truro City's chairman has just issued the following statement

"WE HAVE been advised by Jonathan Cox, Helical Retail, that Lidi will be issuing a termination notice which effectively brings the current Treyew Road Lidi/Helical contract to an end and will allow Lidi to seek alternative sites around Truro.
Helical have again confirmed that their Development Contract with JIL remains in place until September 2019 which could mean that no building will take place at Treyew Road for the foreseeable future.
We will now discuss this latest position with our advisors, League and JIL and decide the best way forward.
Finally we wish to make it clear that this latest news does not effect the Stadium for Cornwall or Truro City FC’s role in it.

Chairman

Although surely apart from all the other clubs in the division no doubt trying to stall the move back, it should be a no-brainer for the league itself!

Lets hope so. You would hope other clubs would want a side in our predicament return to their spiritual home as we would them. All non league clubs should want what is best for each other. I know teams do moan because of our location and the travel they have to do which makes me laugh as they come to us once a season. We have to do the journey every other week so a poor excuse in my book.

Dont see why. If that was the case there would be no league. You might want to beat one another but to see a fellow club in trouble, dont think so.

Which is why attendances for competitions such as the FA Cup are always a bit guarded.

Why share with another club attitude!
