Crikey, I know Pendeen are a good side but I expected Perranwell to have won that one- especially at home.

It looks like Div 2 is opening up now and Truro may not run away with it as expected.

Shame so many of the div one games were called off as there were set to be some upsets there I reckon.

Match Report

29/12/07

FHFL 2 -

Constantine FC 1 Carharrack AFC 1

Both half's were fought out in the teeth of a biting wind that dictated the style of football played.

Carharrack started well when the Constantine goalkeeper mis-kicked to let striker Brenden Dennis take full advantage after only six minutes.

The wind made play difficult, however it helped the home side score a equaliser when Carharrack goalkeeper Dale Paull was lobbed from 30 yards out to the delight of the home crowd by Constantine's William Hing.

The second half saw both sides pushing for maximum points, but with rugby conversions more in favour than shots on target, neither side looked like making the all essential breakthrough.

The biggest chance of a win in the match came when Paull was judged to have taken down a Constantine player just inside the box on the 80th. However, Paull saved the penalty kick well and a draw was a fair outcome for both sides at the blow of the final whistle.

Thanks to Constantine for the food afterwards.

Attendance: About 20 & a dog.
