Saltash 4-0 St Agnes

the best possible start for Saltash scoring from a penalty after 2 minutes.

The first of a hat-trick for skipper Ben Holter.

Saltash, despite guilty of a host of missed chances in the first 45 minutes, went in at the break two up when Holter scored again seconds before the interval.

The second half followed the course of the first with Saltash the better side, and apart from a couple breaks forward by St Agnes, the Saltash keeper had a quiet evening.

Tom Cox made it three for the Tamarside outfit before Holter made the most of a fumble by the Aggies keeper to complete the scoring and claim his hat-trick and the Rathbone Trophy.A39B37A2-E1B3-4C70-ACD1-7A976A8B06E3.jpeg

Saltash physically stronger than the St.Agnes youngsters who to their credit battled on to the end but would have no complaints about the final scoreline.

I believe that several of the Saltash lads are eligible for under 18 football next season, they could be real asset to the County Rep side.

But whoever attends the summer trials will have a fair crack of making the final squad of twenty.

News of the trials will be issued via the normal information streams once they have been organised.
