You've heard of a game of 2 halves well for Pz this was a game of no halves. 1 corner (after 77mins) and 1 shot on target the whole match. Porthleven not much better with 4 corners (1st not until 29th minute) and 6 shots/headers on target.

Port won all headers in midfield plus stopped Pz dead on their 18yd line. Pz could not break through.

Port shooting a bit wayward when they got chances.

45+2mins 0-1 After an even 1st half a shot out of the blue hits bottom of the post. Bounces out, hits Pz keeper and rebounds onto line. Keeper makes a grab but knocks ball over line.

69mins 0-2. Ports first corner of 2nd half(they had 2 in each half) on their left. Whacked over hard and player on 6 yd, centre of goal volleys ball into net.

And thats it.

Crowd of 86 adults plus some youngsters bringing it up to 101.

I would like to thank Pz's lino. It was his first ever Combo match and has just qualified as a ref at 15 years old. I think he had a good game but took quite a bit of stick from one or two players from Port. Perhaps they thought they could intimidate him. Carry on and we won't have any refs left. We need youngsters to become officials so button it next time Port.
