White Hart semi

Royal Par Vets 4 St Kew Highway 2

With Vets teams entering the Combined League Cups it was the fat balding blokes that won over their slimmer more hair opponent in the White Hart semi. Experience told with experience of losing on the back burner in case we lost. Highway took the lead from a free kick, saved but followed up. Collin Harker our lumbering Canadian equalised shortly after in the 5th quadrant when his hockey stick hit the puck for a 4th down and his touch down saw the scores tied 1-1. Par Vets made it 2-1 early second half Kev Rowden nodded in from a cross. Highway equalised shortly after with a half volley from the edge of the box but Mark Place and Steve Crumpler put the game out of doubt late on to set up a final with St Agnes Vets. The final in May commemorates 4 players that lost their lives on the way back from a Sunday football match, St Agnes and Royal Par will ensure the game is played in their memory. With the game a double header, the KO Cup final between Duke and Tregony following a big day and big crowd is expected.
