Hayle 3rds. 6 Stithians res 2.

Took a trip down the road to watch this one and have to congratulate both teams on their approach to this game. No moaning about decisions , both tried to play football in awful conditions and only 6 fouls in 94 minutes of football. We'll refereed by Eric Sleaman

St Just Seconds 6-2 St Ives Mariners (HT 4-1)

With the wind blowing from end to end, St Just went with it first half and made the most of it. Luke May scoring a brace from outside the box, as well as goals from Sam Capstick and a rare Tim Nicholas goal.

Second half Mariners applied the pressure but only really threatened from dead balls. A penalty half way through the second half made it 4-2 but St Just defended well and scored 2 late goals.

Felt a few decisions could've gone either teams way, but ultimately St Just created more chances. Always good to see the Mariners lot and thank you for staying for a beer afterwards ???
