Holmans 0 - 7  St.Day

Scorers - Gaving Boon x4, Luke Hart, Tom Hogarth and Jake Williams.

Think I got that right. We competed well for the first 25mins but when we flicked on a St.day goal kick for Gavin Boon to finish 1v1 it was going to be difficult for us from that point onwards. Tom Hogarth scored after following up on a spilled save to make it 2-0. Luke Hart scored a header direct from a corner to make it 3-0 at ht.

Second half was a blur for us really. Static on the mind with St.day playing constant through balls for Gavin Boon to run on to. Think he added 3 more to his tally before Jake Williams finished it off with a back post finish into the top right corner.

Really pleased with the way we started the game though and if we can keep those levels of concentration up we will start to pick up some points, but in the end St.Day were too strong for us today and no shame in saying that.

Just now, Dave Deacon said:

I’ve seen it suggested on Facebook that 200 attendance at the St Just v Pendeen match today!

Radio Rugby said 300. St Just Feast match. In days of old, there would have been a match on Monday afternoon, probably against Rochdale (Argyle's Saturday before opponents).

St Ives town goalscorer was Scott goodchild, poor display from us today, perranwell deserved the points even though they came from two mistakes by us.....one or two injuries disrupted us today but the fighting spirit we have shown so far this season was missing....not sure why.....tough game next week against pendeen so hopefully we can show a bit more fight...good luck to perranwell......

not a easy game to play Redruth are a side that don’t give up and are in a re building stage so keep it up and you will be fine shame to see aj come off injured hope he recovers quick

Goonhavern beat Hayle 1-0

Good game , played in a sporting manner , well reffed by Mark Rose , some good old meaty tackles ,  good saves by both keepers , woodwork hit by both sides , Hayle probably deserved a draw but Goonhavern defended well in the second half , great welcome at Reen park and the pitch was very good , personally I like visiting Goonhavern  a well run club trying to do things the right way .

Fair play Roger, if The Well had taken their chances in the second half the score might have been a bit more one sided, but with both teams battling more than the uneven pitch (those that were there will know exactly what I mean!) it was a fair result. Good luck to the Saints. Football can be a funny old game!

Thanks for the encouragement The one. Both us and Holman are in the same position at present.players come and go but we as clubs have to pick up the pieces and rebuild and it’s not easy when your down the bottom and you struggle to put the same eleven out each week but we march on because the club has to survive and as much as we cannot stand losing the spirit is there and we are getting better and the tide will turn. ?
