Mike Odgers
Reading an old Truro programme from 1963-the notes said " congratulations to Keith Hawkey for scoring all 7 goals against Nanpean to set up a club SWL record The SWL record was then jointly held by Basil Steer(prob.Tavistock) and Brian Tallamy also with 7--I know Freddie Yorke much later scored 7 goals for Falmouth in a SWL game v Torpoint. What players bettered these figures later in the SWL? The SW Peninsula L (Prem) individual record is 6 by Sam Hughes (10/110 and Ethan Phillips (16/17) but in a League Cup Adam Carter netted 7 in (12/13)

RAPPO
Yeah think Dave is right. Remember Swiggsy scoring 8 when the Blazey dream team beat someone 11-0?! Not sure if it wasn’t Tavistock in the darker years for the club when they were bottom of the league and not top! Funny how fortunes turn around over the years! ? cornishteddyboy
This is the Combo's version of the answer to the question. I looked at all reports we found and made a page where someone scored 5 or more goals. Still have to find seasons 03-08 but one thing you will notice if you have a look, no-one has ever scored 5 goals in a game and been on a losing side (so far). http://www.cornwallcomboleague.co.uk/hotshots.html

Tommy Matthews
I remember him well. My dad played alongside him for years and I also remember hearing about the disaster on the radio the day after and hearing his name mentioned. Made me go cold. Brave RNLI men.
