Ludgvan Res. (10) 14 -v- 1 (0) Newlyn NA Res.

What can I say, Newlyn kicked off, about 9 seconds later, Newlyn were 1 nil down. And so it continued. At least we had 11 players, that is, until half time, when we lost one to a knee injury. Second half with 10 men, we battled, and lost.

Well done Ludgvan. Good luck in the next round.

Russell Hall Cup

Ruan Minor 0-1 Frogpool Reserves

Scrappy game but a hard fought victory on the road for the Frogs.

The goal came from a Jack Froud cross to Sam Macwilliam who then rounded the goalkeeper and slotted it home.

The frogpool defence were resilient through out, with the midfield and front three working incredibly hard all game.

Man of the match was Craig Rothwell in goal!

thank you to Ruan Minor for their hospitality and to the referee who I thought had a very good game.

Jubilee Cup

Penzance Reserves 0-1 Troon Reserves

Magpies just not at the races today.

Typical cup tie on a wet pitch was a good battle not many clearcut chances for either side.thought Simon in goal for Penzance had a couple of very good saves we got whooped down Penzance 7-2 not so long ago so was a massive win for us today!

League Cup

Mawnan 5 penwith 2

After only having 11 players available at 12:30 this afternoon I got to admit I was worried going up against penwith, but every player that started battled and played brilliant and It really was a fantastic  win 4 us against a good side! Really couldn't sing the lads praises high enough! Also Penwith seem to have had a bad reputation in the past, I have never personally seen this when playing against them but they we're all very gracious in defeat and all came in 4 a pint and grub after the game so fair play to all of them ? . Mousehole next round of the cup which Im sure will be another difficult game.

Mawnan goal scorers

Liam Dent x2

Keir Dent x2

Dave Thompson x1

Lockhart cup (2pm kick off)

Frogpool & Cusgarne (2) v Storm Fc (3) (half time 1-1)

today was the start of the Lockhart cup for both teams and that’s exactly what this cup game provided in bundles, great heart from both teams in a hard fought entertaining contest.

the game kicked off on a well groomed and looked after pitch to the surprise of both teams given the rain fall, and the action was fast to follow with a neat headed filck from kian rowlands to find Ricky Moon who could only snatch at the ball in the wet conditions, and then Storm stood tall against an onslaught from the frogpool team with some good attacking from the home team with Storm soaking it up till frogpool scored a well worked goal 1-0 to frogpool

Storm Fc woke up to going a goal down when Moon received the ball from Liam Isaacs and took a snap shoot that the keeper could only palm to and unstoppable Nico Penfold who cheekily chipped the floor bound keeper to make it 1-1 at the half way mark.

storm was the 1st out the blocks in the 2nd half when the tierless Dylan Isaacs broke up the play in midfield for Owen dunstan to play a killer ball threw the defence for the onrunning Ricky Moon to beat the offside trap and place the ball in the bottom right corner from 25 yards out 1-2 to Storm, Storm pressed more and found them selfs 1-3 when last weeks absency Johnny jones played in Liam Isaacs to turn a defender and pass to man of the match Nico Penfold who showed great feet to beat 2 men and finish a great team goal to make it 1-3 to storm.

Frogpool pressed back as they did all game and got a well deserved goal to make it 2-3 some great saves of the Storm keeper James Isaacs kept the score as it was and ensured Storm went threw to the next round.

St Erme - 0   New Inn Titans - 1

A superb effort from the home side today who showed a lot of heart and commitment which will put them in good stead going forward.

Fair play to New Inn Titans who are a top side as many of you know, but they got the all important goal which was the difference in the end, but St Erme had their chances and on another day it could’ve been a different outcome.

Good luck to New Inn in the next round.

Paul Murphy was contacted at 11.00am by Gwinear and we were advised no referee available, so we made the decision to not play the game as Paul was adamant none were available.

We informed St.Day who's manager then decided to tell everyone on social media that he knew a ref who was free, so we called Paul Murphy again at 11.30, who again informed us no referees were available so the game remained cancelled.

So unless the ref couldn't be arsed to tell Paul Murphy he was free how the hell could we decline a referee which both us and the league didn't know was a available.

Unfortunately we were looking forward to playing St.Day and maybe if the ref had informed Paul Murphy then the game would have gone ahead.

Got a feel the two don't see eye to eye.
