I asked him if I could move the ball just behind the spot because there was a slight hole which was filled with a puddle where the penalty spot was. He said I had to take it from there and then he pressed it into the ground. I accepted that I had to do as he said and ended up kicking more of the floor than I did of the ball. I still managed to scrape the post though. (Thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it ). The ref didn't have one of his better days did he postman pat?. So fair do's to both teams for playing in such good spirit. Now lets get down to the nitty gritty, forget my penalty miss, let's talk about my goal . The ball was put across from the right wing and a defender came rushing out to try and head it away. He was around 25 yards out BUT I managed to get to the ball a split second before him and head it down, then when the ball was rising from the bounce of my head down, I hit a stunning and unstoppable volley from 22 yards, over the top of the keeper (who made some good saves on the day) and into the back of the net. Luckily, my crazy moment of brilliance came literally 2 minutes after postman pat was shouting across the pitch that he was to mention my penalty miss on this very forum, so I replied that he had better mention that goal aswell. Where was that mention postman pat you git. . Seriously, well done to Titans for being superb sports all the way through the game and then to stay behind for a few drinks afterwards and socialise with us just goes to show that this new team is a very good addition to our league, thanks for the pint postman pat,it was a pleasure to meet you and have a chat, the favor will be returned when we come to your pitch. Second half I think you worried about scoring to much! Don't think about scoring just play and the goals come. Bergkamp didn't score every game but did that make him a bad player?
