THE Cornishman newspaper is keen to extend its local football coverage - and invites all Penwith clubs competing in the Whirlwind Sports Falmouth/Helston and One & All Sports Mining Football Leagues to send in their match reports, goalscorers and team line-ups each week.

The script was written for this match which was sure to be a big encounter. Both clubs are new to the Mining League this year and were each on 19 points before kick off.

The Titans started brightly with man of the match Tom Milburn and right back Tristan James linking up splendidly.

Cornish New Boys opened the scoring when the in-form home keeper pushed the ball on to the post only for the rebound to be netted. The Titans turned their fortunes around when Peter Barnes struck to make it 1-1. But Tom Milburn netted two penalties to sneak victory for the Titans.
