Massive CREDIT to everyone connected to Goonhavern FC.

Arriving with a number of 3rd team players they never gave up for 1 second despite being well out of their depth.

Their Assistant Manager (sorry forgot his name), in charge for the absent John Mitchell was an absolute star. He remained positive and encouraging until the very end.

WELL DONE GOONHAVERN!!!!

Oh and we also played some great football...you have to play well to beat anyone by 10!!

Thanks Jeff, Richard is his name. It was just one of those weekends when we only had 3 first team available and had to send the 3rd team to fulfill the fixture and although the lost they said they enjoyed it.

2nd team had a important game so I felt it only fair to leave their team alone and alot of the 3rd team were keen to play in the senior cup, and I think it gives the young players a chance to progress I wasn't worried about the result. What is it managers always say when they get knocked out of any cup "We can concentrate on the league now" :yahoo:

Thank you for your kind words. The boys did their best and gave 100% and probably more. The first 45 mins we did fairly well, however, after the break the flood gates opened. Thank you for your hospitality and good luck in the next round.
