Phil Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 Threemilestone v Truro Gwrsa - Off- Railway unable to raise a side.
stevethedoor Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 Camborne Park 1 The Oxford 0 (h/t 0-0) A poor game of few clear cut chances, Camborne scored early in the second half after an own goal by Damo heading past his goalie from a corner, we hit the post twice and had one disallowed for off side but Camborne probably just shaded it. We go through to the Semi-finals 4-2 on aggregate
Guest Postie Pidge Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 Truro United 2-10 Mpad United (H/T 0-5) Good performance from the ref although the visiting keeper will be disappointed with the first goal!! Although he did set up one and played a part in St Darren's screamer!
oldasitgets Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 Crowntown's meticulous plans to claw back a seven goal deficit fell into disarray when, against the run of play, Falmouth Albion were gifted two goals. One, astonishingly by Crowntown's veteran Lynch pin defender Billy. Then, when the same Billy left the pitch after 15 minutes, it was clear that all was not going well for the visitors. The score remained at 2-0 'til half time with BOTH sides having several good chances. Match ended 4-0 to Albion but was played in an excellent spirit by both sides. Well done Joe for an entertaining dive in the first half. Several observers gave it 8 out of 10 for artistic and creative contribution to football. (As much chance of fooling the ref as I have of scoring a hat-trick next week) (Sorry; For "Lynch pin" read "Dip Stick")
Damo No 2 Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 Suppose I deserved the mention of the own goal this week after getting away with it last week! 2 in 2 games! Can't believe my luck, hopefully score at the other end before the season is out! Have to agree that it was a poor game today, with respect to Camborne, they didn't play like a team gunning for the next round of the cup. With the many below average performances from the Oxford players, if Camborne had stepped up a gear it could of been an interesting morning! Good luck to Camborne for rest of the season. Just to stoke the fire, why couldn't Alphabet raise a side? They've signed enough of our players!!
tms no9 Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 as truro gwrsa couldnt raise a squad does that mean tms go threw to the next round?? :clapper:
Soccer Follower Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 Booters were 2-0 down to Shortlanesend at full time when i left. Understand that Booters scored the only goal of extra time to go through to the semi-final.
Dave James Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 anybody know how the STAR V CALENICK game finished ....we need to make the draw for the next round .
stevethedoor Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 Any chance of the draw being posted on here once its done?? Looking forward to getting some revenge on one of the teams that gave us a spanking earlier on in the season
Hutchspur Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 Gotta agree with Damo and Steve, the game against Camborne Park was a poor one with few clear cut chances for either side. Cmborne did just shade it but the better team went through over both legs i think. Definately looking for more from The Oxford players for this sunday away to Regent. We were fortunate to have beaten them a couple of weeks ago 1-0 and definately need to raise it for this sunday. Just want to finish by wishing Camborne Park well for the rest of the season and thanks for two competitive games. Come on The Oxford!!!!!!

Soccer Follower Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 So what was the result of the Star v Calenick match? I see that Star went through to the semis.
Dave James Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 STAR 3 - 2 CALENICK 13-4 ON AGG
Damo No 2 Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 Tremough! Again! Ideal! If we can have half as good a game as last time out then a really fantastic cup tie is in the offering. Hopefully with the result in our favour this time!
A One And A Six Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 If Oxford play against Tremough the same way as we did against Camborne Park it'l be double figures to Tremough. Id hate to see the aggregate score. Performances have to be raised all over the team, especially if we expect to get a result against Tremough. Remember Oxford lads, team-building night out friday night, meeting at Oxford Inn, Redruth at 8 o'clock, be there or be dropped....sorry....i mean square!!!
