penryn ath 3rds 1-2 hayle 3rds

very wet and slippery, both sides battled well, draw a fair result but the ref had other ideas when he gave the winner to hayle with a minute to go when a header from a corner was supposed to have crossed the line when the linesman indicated it hadnt, never mind well done hayle wanted it more in the end

FHFL DIVISION 1

LIZARD 1-4 ST DAY HAT 0-3

2 from kev gumma, and excellent solo effort from tom rosenfeld and a fourth from Joff Mallaber saw saints four up with lizard getting one back with 10 to go.

great away win for saints. the cat started at left back but only lasted a half after picking up a shoulder injury

great game played in tough conditions, the ref was excellent today, unsure who he was but heard he has done conference games and higher

lanner 1 camborne pk 3, lanner first league loss, and deserved to lose, worst we have played, no one interested, no hunger for the ball, no desire, complacency, big changes ands lots of players will be dropped i expect.

FHFL2

Mawnan 0 - 3 Perranwell (Thomes, Jameson,Senior)

Perran took a while to get going in difficult conditions and Mawnan were unlucky not to take the lead when they hit the post and the bar in the 1st half but a corner late on was poked home by Thomas for 0-1. 2nd half up the hill was hard work but a goal from Jameson was well taken a late goal from Senior confirmed the win.

A hard fought win in sticky conditions, very well reffed and thanks to Mawnan for the food afterwards.

Caharrack 3- mawgan 0

Mawgan struggled to get their game going from the start nothing to do with the pitch or the conditions, it was down to the lack of desire of the Mawgan players from the front to the back. I dont think that caharrack were at the top of their game either (thankfully or it would have been a cricket score) but Mawgan were woeful and the lack of communication (except for the constant bickering between each other) was laughable with players almost running into each other going for the same ball. the goals were well taken especially the second goal which was a powerful header into the top corner after some terrible marking.

The only saving grace we have is that it was a cup game and we have the chance to go back out there again and give a better account of ourselves in the league.

thanks to Caharrack for there hospitality and on behalf of the team i apologise for us not going back to the bar for a drink but none of us could hold our heads up high after a performance like that

good luck in the next round

mac :(:(:(

nice to meet chown uk though see you for a drink next time mate
