isaac rosenberg
Is this all about who you know rather than results on the pitch ?

Anne Teake
Mathematically, it's not over yet! If Penzance lose their last game of the season at Sticker (very likely) they'll finish on 29 points. If Vospers win their last four games - 3 away,1 home (very unlikely!), they'll finish on 29 points and will have made up the goal difference, and into the Combo go Penzance!!! Bantona
Only one going down Rodney. If Tiverton Reserves didn't pull out then Penzance would have gone down but due to this situation they stay up.
leedsunited
I thought Tiverton were still negotiating their league status?
Guest
What about the play off? Second bottom East v second bottom West?
Bantona
Penzance or whoever finishes next to bottom in both Div. 1 East and Div. 1 West are safe. If Tiverton Reserves didn't pull out there would have been a play off between whoever finishes next to bottom in both leagues. But that is no longer the case. So only the bottom team will go down. Sticker Forever
Good news, Penzance is a great old club with one of the best stands in Cornish football. Think they'll be fine on the pitch as well nest season from what I've heard regards signings etc. Heard the Tiverton thing was a wind up as well! Nothing to do with anyone from their club saying they didn't want to withdraw! ? ?
East Cornwall Magpie
The real Issac Rosenberg said that "...by the nature of my upbringing, all my energies have been directed to one channel of activity, (making me) crippled from other activities and...helpless even to live". Sometimes reading the rather bitter comments from this forum's Issac Rosenberg I wonder if the quote applies to both of them; this one, after all seems crippled from any activity other than unpleasant remarks (couched in the terms of innocent questions) about Penzance AFC. For a supremely intelligent man your remarkable bile seems at best mis-directed, at worst petty and small-minded. Penzance AFC have made an impressive recovery of late under a dedicated and hard working management team both on and off the pitch. Long may it continue...and wouldn't it be great if, in years to come, they could be joined at the higher level by St. Just?
Paul
Next season Pz away will be one of the main away games to look forward to. Always a decent place to watch football and then grab a kfc on the way home.

However, at times I despair at some of his philosophy. But, each to his own. As you say, Rodney is very intelligent and I believe has a good heart really. Totally agree with your last paragraph.
