RAPPO Posted March 30, 2017 Report Share Posted March 30, 2017 Been asked to summarise alongside the charismatic Peter Richmond who will be commentating on the game all afternoon from 2pm on Radio Cornwall for anyone who can't actually get to Barnet FC to cheer the lads on!!! I'm sure Piran films will have the highlights on the forum along with Deacs and Mass wise words asap and we can all share in the boys great day, win or lose what an achievement, first Cornish team in the final of the competitions 73 year history!! ??⚽? No matter what the boys have done us all proud and shows the rest of the Uk that there are some talented players down West. Real team effort, just got to remember not to jump up and swear live on radio Cornwall if we score mate!! ?? Whatever they go on and do in football it'll be a weekend they'll always remember. ? Should be a great trip for the lads - Bishop Abbey and a training session tomorrow evening and socialising together for the evening and a great game on Saturday. They have already done better than any other Cornish team (and there are some great players who have played County Youth), so Saturday is all about the lads (and coaches) enjoying themselves, as a group and individually. Without a doubt, certainly a cracking set of lads with a brilliant team spirit, being educated in the right way. Buzzing for them mate. ?⚽ To have already beaten Lancashire, Sussex and Durham to name a few they deserve to be where they are. Just one more brilliant performance hopefully Bob! Think the boys have earned a couple of tins on the way home, what happens on tour, stays on tour!! ? Remember playing for the youth up Sussex I think and sharing the trip home with the senior team on the coach in those days, those gents could drink!! Had a few glasses of southern comfort and lemonade, put me off for life! Took me about 2 hours to walk from Truro City car park to my mums half a mile away!! Rough as rats! ? Years later I was in the senior team and remember Gossy suffering the same fate at our hands! Only he was sick on the coach in Rev Trunks lap!! Lovely memories ?
