David Bray Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 The proposed friendy between Cornwall Youth and a Truro City X1 scheduled for tomorrow evening [ Tuesday ] at Treyew Road, Truro City FC . has been postponed.
Guest Peppermint Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 What is the reason for that David.
David Bray Posted November 19, 2007 Author Report Posted November 19, 2007 Heavy pitch condition plus the forecast of heavy rain tomorrow.
Guest Peppermint Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 Thanks David - I guessed that might be the reason. Shame for Tommy's squad though.
cornishteddyboy Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 Were any County Youth Cup matches played yesterday as scheduled? If so any scores? Rathbone Trophy 2nd Round Falmouth Albion v Illogan RBL Foxhole Stars v Callington Colts Launceton v St Stephen St Blazey v Torpoint Athletic Saltash Youth v Penzance Sticker v Millbrook Threemilestone v Bude Town Truro City v Newquay
Guest Peppermint Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 The Truro v Newquay was not played but I don't know the reason but following on from the thread above if it was due to be played at Treyew Road then protection of the pitch could be the answer!
Guest Postie Pidge Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 The Falmouth Albion match was postponed due to an 'unfit pitch' although Albion dispute this
Phil Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 Threemilestone 0, Bude Town 2. Bude looked a good side and played some good football, especially in the first half, h.t.0-2. Good luck to them in the next round. Referee got so many decisions wrong you can only look back on it and laugh, i hope he gets some advice from some of the more experienced ref's or goes to watch a few in action. But as we all know football is a passionate game and tempers get a bit hot which saw quite a few of ours in the book. The games between Foxhole v Callington + Sticker v Millbrook were off, Cally and Sticker unable to raise sides i think. :(
the big number9 Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 phil a few??? i think he booked 8 of ours thats the worst reffing display ive ever seen a joke!!!

Guest mrs p Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 Ahhhh should of been Newquay v Truro then yes :c:
David Bray Posted November 20, 2007 Author Report Posted November 20, 2007 Two other results St.Blazey 3 Torpoint Athletic 1 Launceston 2 St.Stephen 1 And just to put the record straight. Truro City were home to Newquay. Match postponed. okay.
Guest Peppermint Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 Thanks David - perhaps Anita and I may get an apology from Mrs P. Please please please why do some Truro City fans have to be so sensitive about things. With this weather around it is no wonder there are lots of matches postponed. Congratulations Anita on your 1,000 postings - drink ready for you next time you are at the Clubhouse.

Guest Peppermint Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 Don't know about Anita but I am going to take the word of David Bray. After all he is the County Youth Secretary.
Anita Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 I was just going by CTB's listing, I don't know Mr Bray (i don't think)
Guest Peppermint Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 Everybody knows you Anita!!!!!
Anita Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 Yeah one of the probs about using your own name :P
Grant Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 Maybe I can shed some light on the situation. I would go with the opinion of the County Youth Secretary. I believe that Mrs P is a little confused. I am pretty confident that Newquay Combo were supposed to play Truro reserves last week in a combo fixture up Mount Wise which was postponed due to problems with the lights! :D
Guest Peppermint Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 I think that maybe the confusion Grant.

Guest Peppermint Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 Well said Mrs P - and welcome to the Forum. I certainly was not trying to have a go at Truro City. I am sure when the Under 18 game between Truro and Newquay takes place it will be worth watching. I have seen Newquay play this season in the Under 18 League and it was a cracking match.
Guest keano Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 looks like a strong compitition now, shame torpoint are out :clapper:
