Duchy 1 : Sticker 2-3 Grampound

It's not been an easy season for Grampound but the squad who turned out today battled hard for everything, defended well, looked very sharp on the break and might have even scored a couple more.
Grampound scorers : Martin Baker, Tim Peers, Adam Hayne

St Anns Chapel 0-6 Lamerton Community (H/T 0-2)

Considering it was bottom v top, it's understandable for St Anns, a new team to be struggling but I didn't think Lamerton seemed like a team at the top. Maybe it was the massive slope on the pitch, the wavy pitch markings or just the weather but there was never a big gulf between the teams and the home side were unlucky not to have had a goal for their efforts. Of the six that Lamerton scored, the first and the sixth were down to errors (and/or a deflection) and two more were penalties but the other two were fine finishes. The referee Stephen McCulloch had a pretty decent game but still had to brandish a few yellow cards but it wasn't a bad tempered game - just wet!

1st half: 2m, 23m

2nd half: 57m, 59m, 84m, 88m

Great result

Cheers. It was a good result and deserved on the balance of chances even though Sticker had more possession.
Look forward to seeing you here at Grampound for our Vets game next week.
