Guest
For some of the older fogies on here who might remember the heady days (StevieB) these are the teams that competed with the positions they finished: West Penwith League: St Buryan (champions) Pendeen Rovers Richmond Rangers Mousehole Reserves Ludgvan Penzance 3rds Marazion Blues Reserves Herland Rangers St Just Reserves Hayle Amor Shield: St Buryan (champions) Carbis Bay Richmond Rangers Sennen St Just Reserves Pendeen Rovers St Levan Mousehole Reserves Ashton Herland Rangers Hayle St Erth Madron Marazion Cup (split into three groups): St Buryan, Sennen, St Levan, Pendeen Rovers, Ashton Richmond Rangers, St Just Reserves, Hayle, St Erth Carbis Bay, Madron, Herland Rangers, Mousehole Reserves In the West Penwith League, Penzance 3rds played 17 games and drew 11 of them! That has to be one of the highest percentages I have seen.

Guest
Long Rock musn't have had a team then but I had a closer look at their old ground and put the pictures on twitter.
stevieb
Willow , I think you will find Long Rock was reformed in the 90;s not quite sure when but finished 15 years ago , not on Twitter so can't access the photos , the pitch at Rydal was provided by Mike Courtney as he loved sport and wanted to provide football and cricket for the village , he didn't charge for any of the facilities including the changing rooms which were enough for four teams to change plus showers , at one time there were three football pitches , he was a true gentleman and several ex members of the club attended his funeral! . Not many left like him ., A business man who wanted to put something back into his community for nothing in exchange .
Guest
It's a shame the pitch(es) can't be used now
