Penzance 2, Penryn Athletic 2

Penryn fought back from two goals down to claim a point at Penlee Park.

Goals from Steve Hancock and a superb Nick Pugliese free-kick give the Magpies a comfortable half-time lead.

But in a game devoid of much quality, due in no small part to the howling wind, Penryn came back strongly late in the second half to strike twice inside the last 20 minutes through skipper Peter Davey and player manager Dale Band to ensure the second draw between these teams this season.

I was at the Goonhavern - Wadebridge game and congratulations to Wadebridge Town for going to the top of the league and with three games in hand over Porthleven. To their credit the home team never gave up and scored just after the break. Chris Wolstencroft looks the signing of the season so far - hat trick yesterday and I think 7 goals in 4 matches so far.
