Isles of Scilly League

Recommended Posts

I. O. S Team played friendlies at Threemilestone in roughly 2002 to 2005 about march/april time after a Saturday night out in truro. They had some good players but the alcohol effects restricted there chances of winning. Think they used to play Newlyn n.a. before coming up to us.

That's a really interesting article I only read it the other day when I saw the 4 adverts on Youtube.

Have you ticked that ground off-Willow?

In the very early 1950's Falmouth Town had a two match end of season weekend on the Islands.

I am surprised not many clubs make a trip to Scilly-they love their drinking and singing-but not sure if tThe CCFa would approve regarding affiliation and insurance.

No I have never been to the Scillys but it is on my bucket list! As the club are listed as St Mary's FC with the FA (but not the CCFA?) the league is unofficial.

They played a Falmouth Town XI in 2009 and one of their players, Richard Wilcox played one game for Falmouth and is employed by the town council in some capacity.
