Paul Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 I made it to see St Blazey score the 2nd by Nanks and the 3rd by Sebbar. Fantastic win. Gona be that kind of season in the past 8 days weve lost at Witheridge, drew 3-3 at home to Holsworthy and won well today. Philpy seems to be getting rid of anyone who dosnt want to wear the green shirt with pride which is good to hear!! Keep it going Blazey.
Nanks Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 1st goal was scored by Glen Duff and 3rd was Simon Parnell. Good 2nd half performance
Paul Posted November 10, 2007 Author Report Posted November 10, 2007 Thanks Nanks....didnt think I had the 3rd goal right. Looked solid in the second half. Keep it going for a new away ground next saturday.
Mike Odgers Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 Where are you off next Saturday Paul ? I must say after reading all the gossip in the week,I think St. Blazey surprised us all with the result of the day.
Paul Posted November 10, 2007 Author Report Posted November 10, 2007 Yes Mike. A few wanabees have been told to go!! But ive been ill since thursday so I managed to crawl out off bed to see most of the second half. Looked alot better. No Palmer in goal today!! Long live Philpy!! Next saturday we travel to Ivebridge. Any good there?
Paul Posted November 10, 2007 Author Report Posted November 10, 2007 Jay Isbell has gone. Carl Rickard has joined St Dennis I believe.
Guest Rubber Soul Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 First half was very poor. Second half Blazey were inspired. Nanks man of the match. Liskeard were bad. They almost seemed to throw the towel in during the last 15 minutes. Six defeats in 11 league games. Not good for a squad so expensively assembled. Expect managerial musical chairs at Lux Park sooner rather than later.
Guest Postie Pidge Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 If I understand right and Philpy played, surely aged 47 he is and will remain the oldest player to play in the Peninsula League. Definitely Premier Division.
Dave Deacon Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 I"m led to beleive that John Clarkson has gone again from Liskeard. Can anyone confirm this or not?
Guest Postie Pidge Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 Gone again? I saw that on the SWPL notes as well Stig but Chairman and Nanks haven't said otherwise

rawa Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 blazey took chances well, liskeard had a few and didn't. They were missing a few players also.
Lafs Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 You are right about the chances Rawa, but I feel you have failed to mention how it was St Blazey who took the game by the scruff of the neck after the break and dominated for long spells. I'd be interested to hear who the "few players out" for Liskeard were? And on the same point we were missing Regular GK Scott Palmer, club captain Neil Burton and the vastly experienced Wayne Hewitt and Matt Parsons!
Deano11 Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 what is happening to liskeard I was told they would be title contenders if not walk away with it ??
