cornishteddyboy Posted September 21, 2016 Report Share Posted September 21, 2016 On our lists of players scoring goals for Combo clubs we have a Derek Nottle scoring 196 cup and league goals for St Breward from 1959-65. At the time Willow Tree said that from then on the name Derek seems to disappear to be replaced by an Alan Nottle who goes on to score 72 goals for St Breward from 1966-70. At the time Willow thought they were the same player and that he got one or other of the Christian names wrong. It is either Derek Nottle or Alan Nottle (ie the same player playing from 1959-70) and not two separate players? Is there anyone out there from St Breward who can enlighten us? Dave Deacon Posted September 21, 2016 Report Share Posted September 21, 2016 I referred this query to my St Breward contact who replied suggesting that "I've just spoken to my Dad who played with Alan Nottle for a while and he believes that all that information is correct as they are 2 individual players and no relation to each other". I notice that a certain Dave Deacon scored 3 times for Truro City Reserves! !984-85 has now been started. Give me a week to get it on line.
