Combo & Trelawny Behaviour Meetings - Club reps and Referees

Recommended Posts

Cornwall Combination League and Trelawney Football League Pre-season Behaviour and Respect Meetings

Wednesday 10th August – Combination League and Trelawney Premier, Division 1 and Division 2

Wednesday 17th August – Trelawney League Division 2, Division 3, Division 4

Meetings to start at 7:15pm

Venue – Holmans Sports and Social Club

The Cornwall FA, Combination League and Trelawney League will be holding pre-season meetings and inviting managers, a club official and the captains of all sides in membership of the respective leagues, we will also be inviting all referees who officiate on these leagues to attend.

This meeting will give all parties an opportunity to discuss how behaviour can be improved across the leagues and follows on from the successful workshops already carried out with a wide set of stakeholders at all levels of football.

The Leagues and County Association and attendees will have an opportunity to discuss how we can work better together to improve behaviour, which would save clubs time/money and create a more constructive environment for referees and a more enjoyable experience for players and spectators.

It is extremely important that every club is represented at this meeting by the manager of the team but we would equally like to invite a club official and one player from the squad, preferably the captain.

This is your opportunity to have you say and offer ideas for solutions. It is an excellent opportunity to start the season off on a positive note and set the standards for the 2016/17 season.

If your league or division is on a date where representatives cannot attend please attend the other date

Please let myself or Richard Pallot know if you or representatives of your club will be attending the meeting

why not make this compulsory?

Its compulsory for clubs to turn up to AGMs but still they don't so I don't think this will help. More would be if those clubs cause trouble after not attending they should be the first clubs to give up referees in the shortage.

£10 fine for not attending an AGM, hardly covers fuel! make it £100 and i'm sure you'd get everyone there!

After all is said and done, if a club doesn't sent a representative, they can hardly complain if legislation is passed or voted in, and they don't happen to like it.

Oh they will still complain!!
