will anyone be applying for promotion this coming season to the combo league? has anyone applied to play at any of the pitches now available such as praze etc?

West Cornwall are doing the work to reach the standard with dugouts etc to apply I believe!!!

On another note heard Troon will be very strong with lots of old players during successful period returning imagine they would apply as facilties etc already at combo standard...

You'll have to wait and see ?

O i am sure it'll be something to witness first hand! isnt there anymore criteria than that for senior football? i mean there has to be some sort of standard and difference between junior and senior grounds doesnt there? imagine Bodmin coming down for a senior cup clash...they'd think they were lost!

Until anything is completed you know as much as me. All criteria will be met. Bit of a difference comparing us to Bodmin! Shame people get knocked for trying to bring senior football to the club, area, and our loyal players. If we didn't look to progress, I assume we'd be moaned at for showing no ambition. Can't win!

Early contenders (In no particular order) Hard to tell until you see what players these clubs have:

Prem:
Lizard, West Cornwall, Chacewater, CSOM, Penryn & Wendron

Div 1:
Hayle, Marazion, Helston

Div 2:
Mabe, Penwith, Falmouth Town, Redruth

Div 3 (difficult one to call):
West Cornwall, St Ives, Mabe?

Div 4:
Titans, Hayle, Four Lanes.

As a referee and putting this on-line do you not think you may be opening yourself up to trouble if any of the above come to pass?

Not at all. They are predictions, not wishes :)

Gwinear this coming season is made of players who have had a good season last year with other clubs, so we have a few faces from Titans, league and cup winners last year, a few faces from Trevenson, came 5th in the premier league last year.

The players are joining 5-6 players from Gwinear's team last year, so what we have in the club this year is a winning mentality, a group of players who will fight for each other, a group of players who will fight for the club and their shirt, something the club lacked last year.

A percentage of our players are from the old New Park Rangers team, since the team folded these players have gone off on their separate ways and played for several other clubs, but they have never come together since NPR.

What we have achieved this year is to do what others couldn't and that is to bring these guys back together, what we have also done is secured the signatures of our key players from last year, what me and James hope is that with this opportunity we can create a team that can play football and also when the going gets tough they have a 'Must Win' attitude.

Its very early days, but with 6 weeks until our first league game we will be training twice a week around 3 friendlies, we will be ready for this season and more prepared than last season, with a group of players who all have the ability to be pushing for the starting 11 and fighting for a Gwinear shirt.

This is the first season I am looking forward to in about 5-6 years.......

prem - west cornwall

div 1 - gwinear

div 2 - penwith , no one else will come near this team!

div 3 - west cornwall res , four lanes or probus  but this looks like it could be a competitive league with about 8 teams closely matched

div 4 - new inn titans - also no one else will come close.

New Inn Titans bound to be serious title contenders in Div 4. Hope our young reserve squad at Penzance can challenge near the top. A long way back to the Combo but I hope we will eventually get there.

Heard Troon gonna be very very strong lots of old players from successful past eras going back no more than recent referee Jamie marles quality player

Most teams strengthen during the off season. Until teams start playing you dont know how good they are going to be or who they have signed unless u hear about it so my predictions are basically on last seasons teams and the fee rumours i have heard about. We at Newbridge have and will continue to strengthen after our poor season and will certainly be challenging New Inn Titans for the division 4 title rather than being near the bottom this year.

The first team will be strong with the old boys going back.. they may be old and some may realise it who knows lol...either way they will have a good crack from what I hear.. if there getting stronger the seconds will be strongerror than expected... good club .. good  people.. good luck ??

What is it with these officials not being able to make their mind up between playing or officiating!? In my day most officials couldn't and had never played football anyway, hence the officiating!
